Kent or Sussex

I have recently graduated with an LLB from Kent and would like to know which uni has a better reputation for its law school, and which uni has a better LLM course.
Kent or Sussex?

Kent is a few places in the league table (if you consider that as providing any guidance) and has a better research rating so I'd side with Kent but it really depends on your chosen LLM subject and method of study.

I am doing my LLM in Sussex...its a great uni for law and has loads of courses you can take, Kent probably has more of a variety but they are both very similar. The time rankings table places Kent higher at Law, while the Guardian puts Sussex higher. I wouldnt take rankings into consideration though, but that's just me.

I do not doubt the above post in the slightest and would stress that essentially there is nothing major between Kent and Sussex as institutions and it would be best if you could give Sussex a visit and check it out for yourself. Nevertheless, I must mention that the Guardian rankings appear to be the strangest I have ever seen (I'm slightly surprised that Durham comes in 33rd for one but Newcastle at 54 is incredible!). I vaguely remember thinking this before and researching why they were so odd but for the life of me I can't remember what I concluded. Anyway, don't spend too much time looking at them as you can take them all with a pinch of salt, especially for postgraduate study (although the research rating is quite useful), but if you must peak, I'd suggest the Times as the best bet.
