KCL: how does one indicate his LLM choice?

Cedric

Hi everybody

I am looking for an answer to the following question:

How can I indicate on the online application form for KCL the specific LLM I want to pursue?
I read somewhere that I have to nominate 4 modules in section 6 of the application form.. but the form is not separated in numbered sections !!??
So how can I let KCL know which LL.M I am applying for?

Anyone so kind to help me out?

Many thanks !

Why don't you email the Admissions Office for further information? They should be able to address this question. Good luck.

Even if you dont make a choice of 4 specific subjects but indicate the stream (Commercial, Comparative, European, International, Tax, etc) of your interest, it serves the purpose equally. If you want to go for a tailored LLM, you could indicate your areas of interest without reference to specific subjects offered at KCL.

And all this goes into your Statement of Purpose; that is the means of making your choices clear.

I agree with including it in your statement of purpose.

Once you get to Stage 5, which is when you have confirmed your acceptance to an unconditional offer from King's, in the same tracker page, you need to indicate the modules you wish to study.

I hope this helps.

Dear patomtz

Thanks a lot for your post. I am grateful I know now that I can change my choice afterwards and that the pathway chosen in the personal statements is not final.

All the best with your study at King's ! Maybe see you there?

Greetz !!

Just one more thing. I understand that even the modules you choose in the Stage 5 page are not final, since, the first or so week of classes you can attend any and all modules, and then you make your final choice. I do not know the procedure of or the "politics" involved in this selection, but this is what I understood from several pages at KCL's website.

I wish you well in your application process. Hope to meet you at Kings!

From my friends who have joined KCL this year, I can confirm that choice of subjects is not final and that one can chose them during the first 10 days.

However, given the fact that no professor likes to entertain more than a given number of students at one point in time, it would be better to make up your mind in advance and at least the choice, you make when the tracker is at stage 5, should be clear.
