Hi everyone,
I recently finished my LLB of Civil Law at University of Sherbrooke, a french university in Quebec in 2008 with a GPA of roughly 2.7 (B-) (57% UK standard) and am currently undertaking a one year Common Law graduate program giving me access to all Canadian Common Law jursidictions Bar Schools as well as the New York State Bar School. I'll be finishing this semester with a GPA of 3.5 (A-) (69% UK standard) and will be writing my NY State Bar in the summer of 2010. My question to you all is whether or not I have any chances of getting into any LLM programs in the UK. I'm well aware my undergrad civil law marks are under the entry requirements, but my common law marks (Torts, Contracts, Property, American Con Law, Civ Pro) are all high (courses taught in English are much easier for me).
I'm currently working on my applications, getting my documents together and freaking out since it is fairly time consuming and I'm afraid it won't pay off in the end!
I do have some work experience, but not much, since I'm only 23, but I have done a semester abroad in Montpellier, have community service as well as a wide array of extra curricular activites under my belt, and my dream is to one day work in the field of International Business Law, more precisely in the field of International Banking and Finance. Lastly, I got an job interning at the Head Legal Dpt. of the Société Générale in Paris this coming summer in the International Finance Dpt.
Can anyone out there who's applied and knows what getting into an LLM program at KCL entails give me any insight? Has anyone with requirements below those asked gotten in?
Thank you so much!
Zack
P.S. If only the admission officers read this blog and saw my despair and interest!

work experience does count but its not the only thing tht matters most....u have done a lot of things, so i guess, u should get some good reco letters and make a very impressive personal statement...dont lose hope, u still have time ...last date for King's is March 30th.
I have got into King's and will be specializing in International Business Law...
All the Best!
