Hey! For those who received an offer from King's College - did you upload your personal statement as a separate document which exceeds 4,000 characters or did you use the box which allows 4,000 characters only?

Hi, I have not received an offer from KCL yet but I uploaded my personal statement of about 1200 words on a separate document. I asked a friend of mine who is currently at KCL studying the LLM course before doing so. She however said that showing that you can write in a concise manner would be important.

I received a conditional offer a couple of months ago and I uploaded a separate document of two pages which is the maximum length, but I know people who received an offer as well and uploaded a personal statement a little bit shorter than that so I think you really should focus on quality rather than the number of words or pages.
Good luck.

Thank you! I have a SOP which is 2 pages but I am thinking to shorten it to 4,000 words as on the website of KCL it is clearly stated the SOP should be “up to 4,000 words”. But it is interesting that they also consider documents separately uploaded and exceeding the word limit. They should have been clearly addressed this issue.

I received an unconditional offer today (agreement pathway candidate). It looks like the assess each university's agreement candidates at the same time.

Thanks! I applied in October. I actually sent them a message yesterday asking if there was an issue with my application and the offer followed almost immediately afterwards.

Congratulations! I am also an agreement candidate although I'm still waiting. Hopefully find out tomorrow!
If you don't mind my asking, what makes you say they assess each uni's agreement candidates at the same time?
Congrats again! :)

Guys do you know how long does it take from when the status says the document is ok to receive a decision?

I saw my document status change on 11 feb and my offer came on 13 feb. So, seems like everything moves pretty fast in KCL.

I was checking mine everyday, and I did not notice any change before receiving an offer.

have you guys applied to KCL with sufficient GPA? Mine is slightly lower than requirement. I think I would get rejected if I apply haha
