IP LLM at QMUL- international problems

Hello everyone!

I'm Polish law student about to graduate in June, writting disertation on IP rights. I'm considering applying for LLM in IP at QMUL, KCL or UCL for the 2015/16 admission. I've done several apprenticeships in different companies and law firms, overall more than a year of work, but I have no regular work experience (ie a year in one company) and I wonder how important that factor is, if my application may be turned down (mostly) on that basis. Also, Polish grade system is different from the English one (scale 1-5, where 5 is the best grade) and I wonder how that may be assesed.

I would be very grateful if anyone of you could resolve my doubts on that matters.

Hey mate,

I wouldn't worry too much about no regular work experience in terms of full time employment. If your internships are varied and have added value, you'll be fine.

Not sure how KCL recognises Polish grades. I know some universities do recognise them (e.g. Oxford recognising "Matura"). I would contact the admissions office directly if there's no info on the website.

There's also an organisation called Naric, which converts international qualifications into UK ones but they charge for that.

Hope that helps,

Chez
