Hi there. I think having an internship is such an excellent idea and will certainly give the law school an edge in terms of a vocational approach.

On another point if I may - is it true that City were thinking of offering an LLM in Media Law?

I am going to UCL in September chiefly because of the expertise they have in Media Law (such as Prof. Barendt). It would be great to give students more choice in this area as I believe courses with a media specialism are few and far between (Bournemouth and one or two others)

Many thanks for your reply. I think it is very encouraging that more universities are realising that media law is a great specialisation. I know a lot of people think that there has been a decline in recent years in media related litigation - but we just need to look at Freedom of Information as a new area to see how important it is. Best of luck with the programme and the internships!!
