I have LLM from UK Uni and LLB from overseas uni, do I have to do GDL?

Hi guys,

I'm currently doing an LLM at the Uni of Nottingham. I got my LLB from overseas university (non UK and non EU). I would like to practice law in the UK (solicitor). Do I have to do GDL or can I proceed to LPC??

Thank you.

If you did you undegrad at common-law country, you have a chance to escape from LPC.

of course, unless you received your llb from an English or Welsh University.

Even if you received your ll.b from Scotland, you would need to take the GDL in order to practice in England/Wales.
