How about MA Law & Development in Manchester ?

el_felipe

I have received uncon offer from Manchester, but MA Law & Development. Well, I am from China, I just doubt how is this MA of Law? could be not too inferior to LLM?

I have another LLM offer from University Complutense of Madrid (Spain), economic analysis of law.

Which one is better?

I cant help you out on your decision from an academic quality perspective, but one thing I can say for sure: if youre planning on doing a course in English, youd better stick to a university in an English speaking country.

I believe your life outside the university would be significantly harder in Spain, especially if you didnt speak a word in Spanish Since youre Chinese, Im assuming youre not familiarised with the Spanish language please correct me if Im wrong.

Should I be correct as to your lack of knowledge of the Spanish language, I really dont know how youre going to stick being in a place where you simply dont understand a word everyone around you is saying I havent got the slightest clue of how to say even Hello in Chinese and I cant imagine myself spending an entire year in China

Touring around is one thing, living in the place is something totally different

But thats just my opinion.

Regards,

I would really rule our an LLM in Manchester. The University has really lost its reputation as the ranking shows clearly.
From my experience and that of some other classmates', the courses were mostly badly organises, and some of the lecturers were plainly incompetent in the area they were lecturing. Moreover we found there are far too many phd students taking seminars and some of them have no clue about what they are talking about!
