HELP!!!!!!!!!!! SOAS vs.Queen Mary

Ina B

Hi,
did anyone already joined the SOAS programme.
Or is there anybody who can give me further information on the university? Are they only specialized on Africa and Asia or do they also have general topics concerning europe or the uk? I really cannot figure this out....

&Compared to Queen Mary- which one would you recommend....?! Queen Mary is soooo far from the city centre...

I really cannot make up my mind:-)
Please help....
Thanx

Hi Ina B. The advantage of going to either SOAS or QM is that they are both part of the Inter-Collegiate University of London LLM. As such you can choose subjects from any college so long as two are from the college you are registered for. The inter-collegiate LLm may be coming to an end and it is rumoured that this September will be the final intake with each college running independent LLM degrees in the future (in the same way as the LSE opted).

As for which college - if you are looking at more of the commercial subjects then QM is your best bet. However, if you are interested in international law - that is more of a SOAS speciality. Just have a think about which area of law you are interested in.
