Hi, the same day I got all my application (LoRs, etc) together, I was notified the dept was looking at my application. Literally 3 hours after, I checked on my status checker which said "decision made, to come by mail or e-mail." I have pretty good undergrad grades from a fabulous institution, and decent ok grades in law school, coupled with fantastic work exper. in between, plus awesome LoRs from people who really recommend me highly (I saw their remarks). I consider myself a borderline app but I don't know. I'm nervous, help!!
and their e-mail said allow 4 wks for decision. got mine within 2 weeks??? eek!

Don't worry about it.. could go either way really, especially since it seems like you applied pretty early! Either way, looks like you'll know soon!

thanks for the reassurance...apparently I have a decision, and their instructions said they would notify you as soon as a decision's been made. it's been roughly 2 (business) days. I wish they would rip off the bandage and tell me the news already...

Out of curiosity, which school is this? I gotta say I really agree with ripping off the bandage.. how are they supposed to tell you the decision - through post or email?

it said it'd be either by mail or by post. Haven't heard anything so far, and I've debated whether to apply to another school in the meantime and thus spend an extra $10 on shipping another official transcript. As for the school, it's well-ranked. I don't know if it's kosher to say the name, dep. on if any faculty reads this board...

Well, depends on where the school is - if not anywhere near you, you'd probably have to factor in a fair bit of time just in case it comes by post and we all know how post is somehow always really slow when you're waiting for something! Perhaps wait a week and then call/email again?

just found out I was accepted!!!!! yes!!!!!

now, I need to start looking for scholarships...but yeah...:)

It's definitely no bad sign - I, too, have already been admitted: to KCL. Still awaiting better offers, though. :)
