Hi. I have heard the University of Edinburgh has a good course on Law and medical ethics for an LL.M. degree. However, I do not know whether it requires a science background to apply.
I pursued arts in school and then went on to study law. I joined work with an organization where I work on legal issues related to Public health which is why I am interested in the course. However, I am not sure my earlier option to study arts would be a hindrance or not.

I would have thought it unlikely that an LLM, even in medical ethics, would require a science background but have you checked the website for Edinburgh? I believe that a number of other schools offer mecial ethics courses (whether as past of an LLM or constituting an entire LLM) and it may be that they take different stances on the question. I guess you could use the search facilty on this website to find out other possibilites if Edinburgh does not work out. an alternative would be to consider wehter a UK public law course might not also have relevant courses.

No you do not need a science background at all. But just check out Northumbria cause when it comes to electives it appears Northumbria has better subjects and as expensive. Generally you cover more ground at Northumbria than Edinburgh. Both are available online. Good luck
