Hi mt2006!
My name is Mathias, I am from Germany and studied law at the university of Giessen. I have been granted a conditional offer. The condition is to satisfy the english-proficiency.
I have already been to Edinburgh for a couple of days, it`s a stunning city!
Where are you from?
Bye for now
Mathias

Hi, Mathias. I am from Brazil, but am studying in Canada. I got also a conditional offer, but for the PhD. I am finishing my Masters, already, at the University of Ottawa. Btw, Edinburgh is really a fantastic city. One question: have you submitted the reports of any english test? Cheers.

No. The Postgraduate Office ensured me that it would be sufficient, if I will submit the results at time of enrolment. But I won`t wait that long. I will take the TOEFL at 4th April and will transmit the outcomes as soon as possible.

The student halls seem to be ok (accom.ed.ac.uk). Maybe easyroommates.co.uk is a little hint.
What about about Brasil and Germany in the final of the FIFA Worldcup?

Great to hear that you guys will be in Edinburgh. Come say hi at the AHRC Research Centre once you have navigated yourself around the wonderful and very ancient Law campus. Some say it's like a movie set from the likes of Harry Potter or some ghost movie. Certainly, I haven't seen any stair cases move or pictures talk as they do at Hogwarts, but I'm certain that there will be a ghost or two lurking in the ancient corridors.
There is usually a lot of student accommodation up for grabs early in the summer time here in Edinburgh. Don't forget too that the Festival Season starts around August, and during the festival time accommodation is much harder to come by. I've heard people comment that Edinburgh doubles in population during the festivals! Of course, you get what you pay for, but there are plenty bargains in nice areas of the city, just take some time to look around.

Thank you for your generous offer. I will drop in for sure! I have already been to E. in September 2005, therefore I know the stunning Faculty of Law. But the law library situated in the right part of the building (please don`t take it personal) seems to be a little bit shabby. Do most law students study in that library or in the main library of the university? In addition: How does it look like from the inside? They would have charged me 5 Pounds to get in. Hence I have refused to get a deeper impression of the interior.
