Hi everybody! I will be a new postgraduate student at the University of Edinburgh from September 2012. I have successfully applied to the LLM in Global Environment and Climate Change Law. Is there somebody who attended this programme in the past? I am not a law graduate, so I am a little worried about the content of the courses and the teaching method (I have never studied in the UK before). Any advice is welcomed!

Hey Valeyin,Congratulations for being accepted to the program.
As much as,I would like to answer your query, I myself, being the non-law graduate is contemplating to apply for the same program in 2013.
Hence,I was wondering, whether you could in the interest of potential applicants wanting to pursuit advance (LLM) studies in environment law,can enlighten us regarding application process at Edinburgh..?
Many Thanks and Good Luck

Hi Josh! I understand your worries. Feel free to write me in a few months, as then I willdcertainly be able to give you much more information about the programme and the content of the courses. For now I am dealing with practical stuff related to the search for accomodation and the matriculation process. On the university website you will find that the application process is explained in detail and, even though I haven't moved to Edinburgh yet, I must admit that the university staff has been incredibly helpful and I am sure they will answer all your questions. Before submitting the application, I emailed the postgraduate office since not having a previous degree in law I was worried about the admission. You need to provide the necessary documents (reference letters, presentation letter, transcripts, etc.) and they will let you know if you have been offered a conditional or unconditional place. You could of course be rejected, but I believe that if you first write to the postgraduate office explaining your case they would tell you before if it's not the case for you to apply to the programme. However, if I were you I would not write them before October-November, since now they are dealing with all the stuff related to the (2012) September-entry students. Good luck to you too!
