Hi all
Has anyone else applied to Edinburgh? I submitted my application to be considered in the next (February) round. Would love to hear from anyone else who has applied (or even been accepted!).
Take care

Hey, I've applied for the 2022 Sept intake and my application status says "being Processed". I guess they are going be take around 8 weeks to accept or reject.

Hi, thank you for starting this thread! I applied for the LLM in Medical Law and Ethics during the first application round (submitted December 10th) and received a conditional offer today. It seems that my application portal only changed from "being processed" to "ready to make decision" one day prior to the published selection deadline! Hope that helps. Good luck!

Hi Everyone,
I applied to Edinburgh, LLM in Intellectual Property Law. An early October applicant and since then my EUCLID portal reads "currently being processed". It has been more than 3 months or so. I am thankful that this is the only legit portal I could find which discusses on LLM courses and applicants sharing their viewpoints. Could anyone throw some light on what to expect? Would be really grateful!
Thank you.

Oh gosh, that is an enormous time to wait! Have you tried contacting the admissions team? I thought that the rolling deadline system meant that you should have been notified one way or another by 20 January (listed on their website as the date ‘places are awarded by’ for applicants who applied before 6 December.)

I have been reading a lot about LLM or postgrad applicants. Yes the Round 1 places awards by the 3rd of Feb which is long gone. I am guessing my application has been pushed to the Round 2 where to expect an offer would be on the 13th of April. This is what the website has posted. I don't know what the norm is. Is it like all the places are taken up in Round 1 and the other rounds are just for contingency? Should I not keep my hopes up considering I haven't even recieved a rejection.
Also I have read on other places that people had to wait till April/ May to recieve offers.

Let's keep in touch. Helps to keep track and know that we aren't alone in this process.

Hi, everyone, my name is Toby and I work at Edinburgh Law School. I just wanted to let everyone who had applied in time for Round 1 and had their application rolled over the round 2 that due to the high number of applications we receive we only make a small number of offers in each round - there are still places available on all of our programmes and we will continue to make offers in each round. We realise it is frustrating waiting for a decision on your application however if it has been rolled over to round 2 this means it is very much in consideration. I hope this helps and please don't hesitate to email us if you have any questions.

Hi Guys,
Any update?
Posted Mar 03, 2022 07:33
No update as of now
Let's keep this thread active as this is the most inactive thread of the lot. Any update on the application, any change with regards to the processing of the application, offers made or rejections conveyed and other queries, let's make a group effort and talk it out here. Really helps.

Good idea. I have no news to report. I hope to hear soon though, I would be coming from Australia and need a little while to get myself organised for a move. Not finding out until June would be a deal breaker for me.

Hey there. An update: Just got an auto generated mail on "Postgraduate Virtual Open Days. On the brighter side, hearing back from Edinburgh Law School that too addressing the specific discipline I applied for, after months and months of silence, this mail, even if it doesn't mean much kinda let me sigh a relief that the University did not forget about me. Haha!

Hi, got an email from Edinburgh yesterday asking me to upload updated documents and LORs. I guess they’re starting review for the 2nd round. Does anyone know how long from the time I upload the documents to decision?

Just been looking at Edinburgh's application deadlines - I applied on 1st March, do you really think I'm going to have to wait until 1st June to hear back? I've got three other offers that 'expire in April', so waiting on Edinburgh to make a decision... :/

Hi all, I had also applied for LLM in Edinburgh and my application has been rolled over to the next round as well/ They said they'll give out decisions on 13th of April. My status shows being processed as of now. Hopefully, things will go well. Kinda losing heart coz didn't manage to get selected in the first round. :/
Have offers from QMUL, Kings and Manchester (amongst others) Still waiting for UCL and Edinburgh for their decisions. Quite stressful coz these are my personal favourites so..

Congratulations!! I also applied before the deadline for Round 1 of applications but my status remains at "currently being processed". Not sure if they will be able to release a decision before the day ends, but I hope they do!
