I am very happy to have received conditional offers from KCL and UCL; however, I will attend a US law school for this fall and then one of these UK law school.
What if I request a one-year deferral, honestly stating this? Is it possible to accept my deferral offer?
I have heard that a deferral was accepted due to financial reason, etc., but have never heard about such case.

Are you working towards your LLB or LLM? If its the latter, I dont understand (1 year program). But stating that your accepting another university's offer usually negates the deferral. I would suggest saying something else, like pursuing further acedemics before postgraduate study.

I work for a Japanese law firm and given 2-year break to study abroad. I want to attend both US and UK law schools and therefore asked this question.
I will consider appropriate reasons for deferral.
