Chances to get admitted at Oxford Mjur

Gsmith23

Hello everyone. I live in Panama and I have the intention to apply to Oxford Mjur program this year.

I've been strengthening my CV and profile in order to raise my chances to get accepted into the MJUR program. However, It will be very helpful to have an opinion on my possibilities.

I graduated from USMA University in Panama (LL.B) (with honors Magna Cum Laude). Although is not a highly recognized university worldwide, I might say it has been ranked as the first for studiying law in my country. During my time there, I had the opportunity to participate in several extracurricular activities such as the following:

1. Debate championship (first place)
2. Mooting (first place)
3. National Contest "knowing the United Nations" (first place)
4. Member of the board as –Director for Publication –of the Journal of Law of my University.
5. Jessup Moot Court (iInternational Rounds, 2015)
6. Published a dissertation on the supremacy of international law in Panama's domestic legal system (recommended for publication by the Dean).
7. Published several papers related to Public International Law in the Students Journal of Law.

Regarding my professional experience, I might highly the following:

1. I'm currently working as a legal adviser at the General Directorate of International Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Panama. I've assisted the Vice-President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama in several tasks related to the interpretation and application in international Law; and also on a regular basis, I assist the Permanente Mission of Panama at the United Nations in aspects related to the sixth committee and law of the sea matters, and the Permanente Mission of Panama at the Hague, in aspects related to International Criminal Court and International Court of Justice.

2. Part-Time lecturer for the course of Law of the Sea and International Criminal Law.

I will appreciate if you can tell me if my profile meets the conditions to get accepted into the MJUR program of Oxford.

Thank you!

That's not within the top 10 % and thus probably not good enough for Oxford.
