Cambridge LLM 2017 - 2018 Applicants

I received the same email, congrats to the rest of you guys. It's been far too long a wait for us.

I was really surprised to hear back from her on a Saturday.

My Camsis is still UCDC.

At least I can finally say now #ForeverDCnomore.

If anyone is still waiting to hear back, please keep your chin up and you have my warmest good wishes!!!!

Does anyone know if any of us late BOGsed people have any chance of funding? By the time we actually receive a conditional offer it could be days away from now. Not sure how it all works.

Hey! I looked for your alias specifically and hoped you got the e-mail. Congrats! Happy for you :-)

I wrote to Ms Wade on March 21 and, apart from asking about the status of my application, I asked her about funding and what kind of timescales we can expect. She did not reply to that part of the e-mail. The bottom line is that I have no idea. But I would have hoped that some funding decisions would be made before May 1 (deadline to accept BCL offers). And I do not think you have any lesser/greater chance to get funding than anyone else.

I have also received a conditional offer.

I hope that nobody else is still waiting. In case there is, good luck!

hi username_is_used, if you don't mind my asking, wondering which school will you opt for?

I will most likely go with the BCL. But significant funding from Cambridge could potentially change my mind.

Yay!! So happy to hear you got a conditional offer! And a tremendous well done for the BCL too, you must be really chuffed - have you heard anything back yet from Oxford as concerns funding?

I have my fingers crossed for you on both fronts.

Do you know what the deadline is for accepting LLM offers? I'm waiting to hear back on funding before I decide whether to go for Cambridge or proceed straight into the LPC at BPP so as to take up my training contract.

And yes, I do hope no one is left still in DCland. It would seem from the responses thus far that we were the last batch - I certainly hope so!

Thx! Hope you get some free money, too! Will you not go to Cambridge without their funding?

Nope, I haven't heard from Oxford since I got the offer. Either Queen's is taking a bit longer to decide or they don't want me and I'm up for grabs with the other colleges. That might prolong the process.

I haven't got a clue. I just got the e-mail from Ms Wade. Still at DC on CamSIS. I reckon it'll have to be May 1 or later given the delay. People who have formally received an offer from BoGS might know better.

Hi guys!
I was really surprised that Ms. Wade answered us on a Saturday. Thanks to this forum I checked my email and received the same e-mail.
Congratulations DCsurvivors! I hope it won't take long for us to receive our formal conditional offers (:

Very sorry to hear that remol! It's just awful you were made to wait for so long for it to end like this. However, that is FANTASTIC about Oxford. Well done! Is it the BCL?

Thank you, Vari! No, It's the MLF. I believe it is a great combination and unique experience as I can take BCL and MBA classes at the same time.

Haha I really don't see where you got that 50% from! Most people get offers after being BoGS'ed. The stage you're at when you're at BoGS is: "Does application satisfy minimum requirements for admission?" So if you do, you're in; that's what the chart says. So don't worry too much! Almost no one gets rejected by the BoGS! :)

Ah I see. They do sometimes just add the language requirement to the conditions of the offer, so I still wouldn't worry too much if I were you, but I understand where you're coming from. Hang in there! You'll hear soon!

Hey don't worry! As far as I can tell, at least in the last two years, no one got rejected after being Bogsed. A friend of mine who is currently studying there told me that it is merely a formality. So I don't think you should worry too much. Let's just be happy #foreverDCnomore! We do deserve it after going through the excruciating wait!

Hey I received an email from Ms. Wade about being recommended for a conditional offer and my account is still UCDC, but I don't think we need to worry because she also mentioned in her email that the self service account would be updated within 7 working days. It will probably change sometime this week!

Don't worry about the language requirement you can resit the exam. I did not upload my language test scores and have a conditional offer with one of the conditions being the language test scores. Congratulations to everybody else who got e-mail over the weekend. If only they had done this on 15th...
