Cambridge LLM 2015-16

Optimistic...

Just realised an interesting trend. Last year this was my cycle:
6th March-Change to BOGS
11th March- Conditional Offer made.

This year this is my trend:
6th March-Change to BOGS
Still awaiting the conditional offer and today is 11th March. Maybe today may just be the lucky day.

LOL.

My status changed to BOGS either 27 or 28 Feb and currently it is still under the BOGS stage. Hopefully it will change to offer soon.

Guys, I was refreshing my Camsis and my status changed:
"Status: The Board of Graduate Studies has made you a conditional offer of admission."

Oh my god! This means I'm in?
Where can I see what the conditions are?

Good luck to all of you!

I think about two weeks ago. Maybe more.

Same here: my status has just been updated to "Conditional Offer Made" and it previously changed to "Awaiting decision.../satisfied..." on February 28th.

Good luck and no matter how incredibly nerve-racking this wait is, don't lose hope!!!

Does anyone know if they send rejections by regular post? I know they email acceptances, but do they also email rejections?

I am still awaiting consideration. I am starting to lose all hope...

I am still awaiting consideration too. I have pretty much accepted that it is most likely a rejection at this stage. Never mind, we tried! :)

No, It will be either Columbia or Harvard ,. I will decide based on the financial aid I get. I have also applied for a Oxford specific scholarship.

I just received a conditional offer from Cambridge. I am still doing my LLB, and one of the conditions was an academic requirement to graduate with a certain GPA. However, they have set the requirement ridiculously high (actually, it is mathematically impossible to obtain). What do you guys recommend?

Why do you prefer Columbia over Cambridge?
It is a serious question because I was also admitted to Columbia and awaiting HLS.

Mostly my research it is that the diversity of faculty at Columbia is much more than Cambridge. The UN office is also in New York and it will help me very much as I intend to take up subjects on humanitarian law.

Also in case I decide I want to work in an american law firm, I can apply for the NY bar exam which is not possible with the Cambridge LLM.

Actually it will be a difficult choice between Harvard and CLS. I want to stay close to the centre of legal developments in my field which is why I refused offer from U Chicago.

Hey guys. I've just received a rejection from Cambridge - Status reads "Application Unsuccessful". I had a first in law from an Australian uni, graduated recently - GPA 3.75, studied abroad, did mooting, edited law review etc. Pretty shocked.. Still waiting to hear back from Oxford and Harvard (my first choices), confidence is obciously diminished.

Sorry to hear that bro.

No need to be ashamed though.

There's literally hundreds of you every year who don't make it into Cambridge despite stellar CVs. Competition is stronger than you could ever imagine (I know cause I've been through it).

My CAMSIS status still reads "Awaiting Consideration by the Department". Any other Indian applicant in the same boat? So far only three Indian applicants seem to have gone to the BoGS stage.

When I had called the BoGS last evening (16:00 GMT), they gave a generic reply confirming that all the offers will be made by 15th March.

I'm an Indian and I got BoGS'd (with the line about my offer not yet being approved etc) sometime last night (IST). Hopefully, this will convert into an offer.

I'm still in my last year of undergrad studies. Does anyone know what academic conditions are imposed as part of an offer? Thanks
