Hi, is there any point in me applying for a Cambridge LLM with a 2.1 from UCL? It was a high 2.1 (we weren't given an overall degree mark but the average mark for my 5 highest modules over the last two years, out of 10 modules, was 69%)
I know that Cambridge normally asks for a first but as its from a top 5 uni and a high 2.1 does that make any difference? I really want to apply if I've got a fighting chance!

i have to say your chance is quite low. a first is really a requirement for postgraduate law at Oxbridge, regardless of the uni you got your degree from.

I disagree with the above comment. I applied thinking I might not get in (I have a high second class honours degree - average about 78% from an Australian Uni) but I got accepted and am going there this October. So definately apply, because you never know your luck. I'm only posting this because I nearly didn't apply because of comments like the one above, but I am now definately glad that I did!
