Cambridge LL.M. 2014 - 2015 Applicants

Any Indian students with offers. Two days left and there is no change in status.

It is rather surprising. I have hardly come across anybody from India whose status has changed till now, which is kind of hard to believe considering the general practice of a substantial representation of Indians each year in the LLM program

It surprises me, too. I come from China. I think each year there's considerable proportion of admitted applicants from India and China. However, we haven't seen many of our acquainces post their offers here. Two days left, I can't imagine if I couldn't receive offer. I think I'm competent.

FOR THOSE WHO RECEIVED AN OFFER PLEASE HELP ME:
1. WE HAVE UNTIL MAY 15, 2014 TO ACCEPT AND COMPLY WITH ALL THE REQUIREMENTS, RIGHT?
2. REGARDING SCHOLARSHIPS DO YOU KNOW WHEN THE CAMBRIDGE TRUST WILL RELEASE ANY SCHOLARSHIP OFFERS?

THE PERSON WHO SAID HE JUST HAVE TO PAY LIKE 20,020 POUNDS RECEIVE A FEE WAIVER?

THANKS!!!!

ANY FACEBOOK GROUPS FOR THOSE WITH AN OFFER!

First of all, no need to shout - we hear you :))

The link to the FB group is just 6 posts above yours. And as for the fee: no, I did not get a waiver (and I don't expect to get one), which is not a problem, since I've received an external scholarship which covers my costs.

Generally, I don't think I hear much about applicants from Asia getting admitted..

I asked Miss Wade because I was wondering the same thing, but don't worry, the 15th is the last day for applications to be assessed, i.e. for them to reach the BoGS stage. It can still take a while thereafter until the offer is formalised.

So anything is still possible if your application is currently awaiting consideration (like mine).

Thank you! (: Did anyone apply to LSE/UCL for backup?

Hi, I have similar experience like you, whose CAMSIS still awaiting consideration by department. And I did apply LSE for backup and have been accepted. However, Cambridge is always my first choice and I really hope to be accepted. Two days left, wish all best of luck!

Hi guys, sorry if this is a repeat of whats already been said. But I'm really worried my application is still awaiting consideration by department. Was just wondering if anyone knows whether its REALLY still awaiting consideration or is it possible that such applications just haven't made it?

Hello guys,

I just called Ms. Wade and she told me briefly and precisely: "If you have an offer it should appear on your self-service page by Saturday".

So if there is nothing there by Saturday, then I would accept I was rejected and accept my offers elsewhere. Not long to wait now!

P.S. Congratulations to all those accepted, I am sure you have worked very hard for this and you deserve it!

Don't lose hope yet - there is still quite a number of days to come before Saturday! Clearly, they are keeping the UK nationals till the very end...

Thank you very much for this suinka89. Congratulations on your offer! What is quite upsetting though is there have been no status updates to BOGS posted on this forum since Monday. I don't know if this is a sign that all offers have now been made (since the website says all offers will be concluded around the same time in late february/early march) or there is still a small round of offers to come. But thankfully the wait will be over on Saturday :)

To me, it would seem quite strange that there would be so few offers made to the British, Indians, Chinese applicants... I think they are giving out offers in waves. Those who were BoGSed at the beginning of last week, got conditional offers at the end of last week and are getting their college offers these days. Those who were BoGSed at the end of last week are now getting their conditional offers, etc... If Ms Wade says that they will keep BoGSing people until this Saturday, then there is still no reason to worry... Fingers crossed!

Hello everyone!

Congratulations on your offers. Well done!
I have a quick question and I`d really appreciate if you could help me out. My status was "Awaiting decison by the Board of Graduate Studies" last Friday. I logged in yesterday, but it showed that I have no currently active applications (which is really strange, so I emailed to see whether that means I am rejected). When I tried to log in today to double-check the status the Self Service page denied access because I had to log out first (which I would have done if I there had been a log out button there). Now, I know this is all really awkward and silly but I was wondering if you could suggest something to fix this.

Thank you!

TrishZ, have you closed your browser window (not just the tab)? It doesn't let you log out / log in unless you do that. Just shut down everything (even restart your comp, if necessary) and then start anew. If that doesn't help, I have no idea what's wrong...

Yes, tried that. Anyway, thank you for the tip.

So they aren't doing waitlists or second round offers this year?

Not sure how its confusing. For those who applied for the wm tapp studentship (a scholarship tenable for the LLM), rejections have been sent out by post.
