Dear all,
I am currently holding an offer from KCL and LSE and I have made some research on the classes I would like to take at both so I could better choose which university to study. I would like the opinion of you on the classes I have selected and also which would be better in overall. I must say that my practice fields are arbitration, infrastructure, PPP and project finance:
KCL:
International Commercial & Investment Arbitration (Toby Landau QC, Johnny Veeder QC, Sam Wordsworth, Ricky Diwan & Salim Moollan & Ekaterina Finkel) (Full module)
International Investment Law - Optional (Dr. Federico Ortino) (Half module)
Law of International Finance 1 (Professor Ravi Tennekoon) (Full module)
Law of International Finance 2 - Project Finance & Loan Sales - Optional (Professor Ravi Tennekoon) (Half module)
Law of International Finance 3 - Securitisations, Derivatives & CDOs - Optional (Professor Ravi Tennekoon) (Half module)
LSE:
Alternative Dispute Resolution (Prof. Mulcahy, Linda) (Full module)
Financial Law (Dr. Paech, Philipp) (Half module)
Fundamentals of International Commercial Arbitration (Dr. Kleinheisterkamp, Jan) (Half module)
Advanced Issues of International Commercial Arbitration (Dr. Kleinheisterkamp, Jan) (Half module)
Project Finance and Public Private Partnerships (Vist. Prof. McCormick, Roger)
Cyberlaw (Prof. Murray, Andrew)

At first sight, KCL seem better for your options. But remember LSE has the upperside.
Also, why on earth would you choose cyberlaw at LSE if your practice is " arbitration, infrastructure, PPP and project finance" :) ?

Hey hawkme,
thanks for your answer! What do you mean by "upperside"? Regarding cyberlaw, I am interested on Online Dispute Resolution, which is kind of incipient in Brazil, so I was considering that maybe I could study this a bit.
Cheers

It means LSE's quality and reputation isn't matched by KCL, even though KCL is also a very good school.

Hello vsalgado! I have exactly your same interests I already applied to LSE and UCL but I haven't done my KCL application! I wanted to ask you when did you submitted your LSE application cause' I thought they were not giving answers yet. About your question, I think it depends on where are you going to work, for example here in Colombia LSE has great reputation while KCL and UCL are practically unknown! I think they are all great programmes though!
