Hey N_k_S, I appreciate your response. I am not done with my research yet as I have till July to decide where I want to go.
I have received conditional offers from QMUL, Durham, Manchester and I am awaiting my offers from UCL and KCL. If we want look at Unis which are good for Commercial Law then it would go something like this LSE, UCL, KCL, QMUL, Durham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester, Nottingham. Warwick doesn't have commercial law, otherwise it would have been there.
Of course, QMUL has a great advantage of being UoL college and in London. If it was for LLM in IP, QMUL is the best and I wouldn't have looked at any other uni. After speaking to people who are from there I came to know that Durham has a great reputation for commercial law and QMUL comes after that. I have to consider which uni will be good for me in terms of getting a job there and prospects after coming back to India. I think you have done your research on the profs as well which i haven't started that yet. But would definitely like to keep in touch with you. My first preference is UCL and then KCL. If I don't get in either of them it would be either QMUL or Durham/Manchester, Bristol. What i heard after speking to people that Durham has a great rep among the London Law firms as some of the Partners have done thier law from Durham and most of the rejects of Oxbridge go to Durham.

And the rankings I was talking about weren't the Overall rankings but Law Rankings of Times and Guardian
Posted Apr 06, 2008 15:01
I know .. I meant The overall law rankings..which nessesarily do not reflect the Taught Masters Ranking but focus more on the LLB and research degree rankings...and yes I know that Durham is a gr8 school but just check about the stuff that I posted ..the professor exodus..because it may not be gr8 stuff to find that the teacher that you were going there for has left for some other university..keep in touch man!

Warwick has an International economic law course with the compulsory module IEL focussing on various regulatory frameworks, formal and informal, that govern international economic relations there by dealing with issues of overlap of national and inter national laws and factors figuring in the settelment of international economic diputes..it is therfore hardly surprising that the study availible remedies and int. comm. arbitration includes itself in the module...after that you casn choose 4 out of any of the given options ranging from corporate law ..which is company law ,M&A and and international out look of the same to banking and securities, to IP to international taxation to legal aspects of international corporate finance.....this course though not named " Commercial & Corporate Law" , has all the same modules...one of my friends who attended it is working in UTv and the other in Kochhar.

I am still waiting to get a repsonse back from QM. Today I got newsletter emailed to me for their International Students, but i still haven't been accepted yet. Since I am waiting to send in my deposit at another school I am pretty anxious to hear back. Does anyone know if they send that newsletter to all applicants, or is it only sent once they have accepted you? It had information about accepting their offers, the school and stuff to do in London. Thanks!

Hi wdwfun, i dont think that they send the newsletters only to those who hv been accepted. they would intimate u separately abt ur admission status.
wish u all the best n hope u hear from them soon..
