Hi

How important are the toefl scores as part of your applications. Does anybody know of any cases where applicants with below 100(ibt) have gotten into universities such as HLS, CLS, Chicago. Please let me know.

Hi!
As far as I know toefl scores are quite important! especially since there is no interview. I had spoken to someone at Northwestern once who told me that if a person does not have the required english proficiency, they will doubt if that person can survive inside class!
So if you translate that for HLS, CLS, etc you have your answer.

I've got exemptions from many schools for the toefl scores. However, they would have still received my toefl score through lsac. Would they consider the score them or decode otherwise after looking at the score card?

If you got exempted, I do not think they will pay much attention to the TOEFL. However, I heard from many people who were asked to re-take the TOEFL, not sure if they had been exempted, but it is possible to prove proficiency in English.
