The abbreviation BV has multiple meanings, including:
* Blood vessel
* Background Vocals
* Bacterial Vaginosis
* Beaulieu Vineyard, a Napa Valley winery
* Bekende Vlaming, Dutch for a "well-known Flemish person"
* Besloten Vennootschap (Dutch), a Dutch private limited liability company
* Beta Version, see Development stage
* Bicycle Victoria
* Binocular vision
* Biological Value, a method used to determine the effectiveness of various proteins in human and animal nutrition
* Blessed Virgin Mary
* Blue Panorama Airlines IATA airline code
* Bobby Valentino
* Bottega Veneta, a manufacturer of consumer goods
* Bounded variation, a concept in mathematics
* Bournvita, a malted beverage (see Cadbury Schweppes)
* Bouvet Island, WMO, ISO 3166, DAFIF 0413 / DIA 65-18 / FIPS PUB 10-4, and obsolete NATO digram country code
o .bv, the inactive ccTLD for Bouvet Island
* Breakdown Voltage
* Brightness Value, see Tone mapping
* Buena Vista
* Building Ventilation, see Ventilation (architecture)
* Building Void, an architectural term
* Bureau Veritas

What about binocular vision? Maybe in your case BV stands for building ventilation. Not sure though.

Hey Russ,
Thanks for the dictionary on BV :-))) I did go through wikipedia but just like you cldn't get to the exact meaning. I am really puzzled by this one. BV to designate a floor seems really strange...
Anyways, thanks a lot for all your effort.
Cheers!
