HI guys,
I've completed my law degree this year. I am exploring the idea of pursuing an LLM from the Uk/ USA or possibly Australia.
While going through the courses offered in many universities, I've come across IP. I know what IP is and i've enjoyed studying it. What i need someone to answer for me is, what is the content of this course? does it equip you to study Patent law only or majorly? I have no background of science so if it concentrates mainly on patents, then i'll have to opt for some other course. I am quite interested in studying more about trademarks, copyrights....
please enlighten me on my query... thanks!
what exactly does one study in IP?

If a course is labeled intellectual property law, it usually means that that course is a generalist in nature teaching all three major intellectual property sub-fields (In other words, it teaches patents, copyright AND trademarks). So it won't be just about patents.
Most universities also also have specialist courses which go into each specific sub-field in greater detail. For example, UCL has an advanced course dealing solely with copyrights.
