SOAS for LAW?

sophie22

Just wanted an opinion of the faculty of law at SOAS..i have recently been accepted to their LLB program, and would like some advice on how well it ranks in terms of local and international reputation. I am a Canadian student and already hold a degree in international relations and political science. I am particular interested in SOAS for its specialist attitude towards the region of south Asia and middle east, as i intend to do policy work in those areas in the future. given these interests, is SOAS a good option for LLB?
any input would be highly appreciate!

yep soas is great for its courses on how the law applies to asia/africa/middle east. congrats on your acceptance. i noticed though that you are a graduate. as a graduate you can apply for a two year accelerated llb programme at certain universities, most notably oxford, cambridge, birmingham, bristol etc. it may be worth considering as you'd thereby save £££ and a year.

in any case good luck!

Since it is a part of University of London, the school has a good brand behind it.
It is a highly specialized school (hence it's name), but considering your interests it's seems like a good choice.
