Recommendation Letters

Hi,

Any ideas on how important it is to get recommendation letters from faculty that is still with your undergrad university?? I'm planning to get one from a teacher who is currently on leave and another from a part time faculty. I feel both these persons know me much better than a lot of the other senior prof's and will be able to write anectodal recco letters. Will this jeopardise my application in any way?

Would be grateful for any ideas on the subject!

Cheers!

Yes, if you are applying to U.S law schools. You should try to get a letter from Proffesor who has taught you and knows you well..

Regarding UK law school I certainly say that your reference letter is very importante to suceed for a place in a University.

I have realized this fact since I have applied to KCL and UCL with all the same documents, excepting the reference letters. The letters that I sent to UCL was more impressive than as sent to KCL. Then, I was rejected for a place in KCL, but suceed for a sit in UCL.

Remember that UCL admission is more rigorous than KCL. For these reasons, I attest that the letters of reference worth a lot.
