Motivation letter
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my interest in applying for a Master's Degree Program in Public International Law starting in September 2012. I believe my educational background would enable me to make a strong contribution in your University. I have graduated in 2011 from Westminster International University in Tashkent, where I was granted a bachelor degree in Commercial Law.
My academic performance has been always satisfactory. I have been an active member of Westminster International University in which I have been involved in the development of several improvement projects. Moreover I can say that I would like to continue my studies in order to gain knowledge and experience through academic research and I believe a Master Degree Program in Public International Law would offer me the possibility of completing my education to start my professional career as a Lawyer in Uzbekistan.
The reason for choosing this specific Master Program comes from the fact that in the near future I would like to get more practical knowledge regarding for example relationship between the state and individual, and the relationships between different branches of the state, such as the executive, the legislative and the judiciary. I already got some ideas and I have done the preliminary research, but unfortunately until now I did not have access to the right information and tools for putting them in practice and that is why I know that this Master Program would be an excellent starting point for me.
Also if I could get selected for this program I will have the opportunity to learn from the best and the fact that I will study in an international environment will give me the privilege to create new relationships with people from different cultures. I am also aware of the kind of dedication and perseverance I will need to have for achieving the best results in the field and I believe my background will help me to qualify for such a Master Program.
In conclusion I would say that I like to take responsibilities and to work as part of a team. I am eager to gain new experiences and in my opinion this program is the best way to achieve all of it and to explore the uniqueness of human personality in the right academic environment. The strong international aspect of this program, its high standard of education encountering different students from various countries and the use of interactive methods of teaching make this Master very enriching and exciting and it is exactly what I am looking for. I am positive that the University of Leiden is an excellent start for an ambitious business career.
Sincerely,
Sadik Rustamov
