Can someone please enlighten me about the path leading to a PhD programme at LSE? Once admitted to the PhD/Phil I understand you are enrolled to the MRes in LAw; what type of exams do you have to sit to proceed to the PhD??? Are they written or oral; how many classes would you have to take, what scores would you have to obtain etc????

Thank you for the response. Most programmes do not automatically admitt students to a PhD; you are enrolled into a MRes or Phil programme and then are "upgraded" if you meet certain requirements/pass certain qualifications. I was merely asking for how this process works at the LSE...
