LSAC

I am an Indian lawyer planning to pursue LLM in the US. Can anyone tell me as to how to proceed with the application on the LSAC portal. I am quite confused with that.

First, Register with LSAC. Thereafter, furnish all your education information to them. Pay the relevant fee in USD. Take a printout of the form 'Transcript Request Form' and apply for transcript with your University. Arrange to forward the Transcripts to them. (Sorry, So far I know only this much information)..... After doing LL.M in USA, within OPT one must clear Bar exam and try to get placement. On the basis of information collected from this Forum, after doing LL.M in USA, it seems much difficult to get a legal Job within one year (OPT) by clearing Bar Exam. With LL.M(USA), one cannot join as a Asst. Professor of Law in India because USA LL.M is not a valid one in India for academic purpose. USA LL.M will help you to enrich your legal knowledge. Hence, I suggest you to do a one year LL.M from India before attempting to do further a LL.M from USA. Moreover, admission process in USA for LL.M is not much transparent, especially it is very difficult to know about the scholarship is being awarded to International student. One must learn from trial and error method to choose the best. As usual, no one comes forward to share his experience of admission process.
