Hello! Happy I found this board!
I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I graduated from a well established University, International and European Law Faculty. After graduation I applied for a PhD in my University, my dissertation "Jurisdictional Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedom in Europe (legislation and case-law). I started working as an in-house lawyer (assistant of cause at first) since my third year in Uni (due to bad financial situation in my fam I had to financially support them). Anyways as of now I have a PhD and 7+ years of in-house law experience. The problem is I really-really want to work within the area of my dissertation - International and Human Rights Protection, but there is no opportunity in my country to find such job. There is Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Foreign Affairs I both had an internship but the work their is not technically in any way legal - it's at best secretary-linguist. So now that I'm quite financially secure (I was saving) I was thinking of doing in LLM the area of Human Rights Protection. Europe, USA doesn't matter for me. What matters is that after completing my LLM with additional unique knowledge I would be able to find work in the area of my interest. Can you recommend me Programs/Universtities that maybe have any career opportunities after graduation in this field? Since I said that as of right now in my country there is no real opportunity to work in the field, but I figured I really want to try, and then I can always go back to my in-house work, right? so I'm not loosing anything.
My IELTS is 8.0, I have a good knowledge of German too, if that helps with recommendations.
I'm sorry it was long! Thanks in advance!
