LLM application: Which grades are relevant?

merelikan

Does anyone know, which diploma grades are decisive for a LLM programme in the US/UK?

I have a BA of Laws with average grades and an MA of Laws with very good grades. I.e., I'd like to be assessed based upon my MA grades.

Thanks!

I recently read that it was your last results which would be the primary focus but I'd still think you would have to meet the minimum entry requirements in some cases. For example, you couldn't apply to do the BCL at Oxford on the basis that you had a distinction in your masters but a 2:2 in your BA. That said, I'd think you would have a shot at the the 'normal' institutions if you had good references etc although its best contacting the admissions tutors directly.
