I need help!!

Hello there!
I'm an italian student, i'm 23 yo, i'm about to graduate in law in italy ( 5 years of study)i'm in a relationship with an english guy and i was wondering if i could work as lawyer in Uk (i would do that to put aside from him). I know the difference beetwen solicitors and barrister, i would became the last one, anyway i red on internet different opinions about it and i'm very confuse because i don't understeand if i have to contiunue my studies in a college or if i have to contac a college and ask if there is any kind of course that allow me to take the QLL, to attend the BPTC etc. etc.
How can i retrain my law degree and what should i do? Is there someone who is found in this situation or had an experience about it?
Help me please, thanks a lot :)

I'm a foreigner in London too, but my situation is a bit different from yours because I obtained my LLB here and am currently doing the LPC (for solicitors). I don't know what your exact degree in Italy is called or whether it will be equivalent to the requirement here to practice, but a lot of non-UK educated people I know go through the GDL (Graduate Diploma in Law) which is one year conversion into a recognized UK law degree. And after that you will have to apply to the BPTC, but just be cautioned that becoming a barrister is very competitive and a majority of those who go through the BPTC don't necessarily become barristers. Since you're an EU national and a visa isn't a big issue, I would recommend looking for paralegal jobs in London through an agency as well.

Mhh.. that's a bit discouraging anyway I'll try to explain in a better way. My degree allows me (in my country) to take an exam similar to the bar test in America and in U.k. as well and actually i could do the bar test in America, because i study civil and common law as well but I'm interested to practice in U.k. If I don't take this exam and I leave for U.k. i have to study one year to retrain my italian degree and after that i can apply to have the certification of academic standing and have the possibility to choose to became a barrister or solicitor and attend to the relative courses.
But if i became i lawyer here, i could convert just the title (and i don't need to addend a college) and i could apply to BPTC.. That is what i understood :/ but i don't understand how to do that. I'll try to ask in a college some further information, next month, when I'll go to Birmingham. By the way thank you, I will hold your suggestion in consideration, even if i'm not "fashineted" by the idea of being a paralegal.
