Any updates? I just got a message from the Dean today that I was waitlisted. He said it would take up to a week to know the final answer. I asked if there was any number on the list and said there is not, but to rest assured that the list is quite short. Is anyone else in this position?

waitlisted means that you have not been rejected but are not accepted yet. When you are waitlisted, your application is still under consideration if other students who have been admitted refuse the acceptance and go to another school. Seats open up, and therefore the people on the waitlist are accepted and can attend the school. The only issue with the waitlist is that you are in "limbo" because it is not guaranteed you will be accepted, but you still have a chance. It is better then being fully rejected.
