Can an LLB Student do the NY Bar?

Fo

Hi All,

I am an LLB student from an Australian University and am interested in doing the NY Bar this summer - however after looking through the prerequisites it looks as though I may not be able to do this with just an LLB??(i.e. need to be either a graduate student or be admitted in Australia)

Is this right?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I think you will need to graduate from your LLB degree before you will be allowed to take the bar exam.

There are requirements for "classroom hours" etc which must be fulfilled before you can take the bar exam. If in doubt, send in your quals for evaluation - it is free anyway!
