Hello,
THis is a fairly ambiguous question but here goes. Hopefully someone can give me some advice. I am wanting to an LLM in areas roughly related to criminal law, international criminal law, comparative criminal law, criminal justice..
I have completed undergraduate degree in Australia and I could do LLM at Sydney Uni (strong in these areas) is really strong on these particular areas. However, I am really wanting to do some overseas study to gain a different perspective- either US or UK. I guess also where scholarships are available would be a factor also.

Northwestern University Law School may also be a good option in criminal law and procedure, as well as trial advocacy. Northwestern is well-known for its former Dean and Professor of Law, John Henry Wigmore, one of the pre-eminent Anglo-American authorities on the law on evidence.

The criminology MSc at Edinburgh is very rigorous. I have several friends who participated in the programme and have now moved forward to writing PhDs in the area. The faculty in Criminology is very eclectic and covers a wide range of issues. They also have good connections with the Scottish Government and its various programmes which I think is essential in practical applicability of your studies.
Good luck!
