Hi, I'm interested in taking the LLM Master European and Comparative Law in Ghent. Are there any people here that already did this master? Would you recomend it? Why or why not? It seems to me that you'll have to spend a lot of time writing papers etc...?
Thanks!

Somebody say something.... I am exactly in the same situation, have been admitted already, just like the city, still for a certain reason I am not that sure about the University...I mean, the courses description just didn't make me feel that satisfied as in others' univ. websites...
Any suggestion?

Contact the school Alumni department and ask them to set you up with someone to talk to about your concerns. Belgium schools have been very nice about that to me. Sorry I don't know Ghent U.

I am a student at gent university in the european and comparative law master (llm) program. I would recomand this program and this univerity very very much .... the classes are very good the program very flexible a lot of time for travelling around, the stundent life and the night live is the best (gent has around 100 000 students or maybe more a lot of them international students from all over the world), a lot of famous professors and a lot of school trips....ofcourse there are some stupid classes like english for lawyers compulsory for non native speakers but it's a short class for only 2 weeks, and i heard that from 2006 they will have an introduction in chinese law also a compulsory but short class.
hope it helps

Thank you all for your reactions...
I've recently been admitted to the LLM programme European and comparative law in Ghent.
Any other students around who've been admitted yet??

congraulations to you:)
I wonder how did you find funding for the studies?I think about applying but the cost is to high for me and university can only give waiver for the tuition fee. Did you look through some organizations?

Hi,
we just had the exams of the first semester...It's going really well, the teachers are very good, the atmosphere and the city are great as well...Besides the classes u still have loads of spare time... I would surely recommend this master!
About sponsorships I don't have an idea...

hi everybody,
I'm actually new here and have just been admitted to follow the LLM programme in European and comparative law for 2007-2008...
Well well, regarding all the positive comments about Ghent University and knowing how good life in Belgium can be, I'm pretty happy to settle there!
