Hi guys,
I'm German but will be finishing my LLB (Hons) Law with Politics degree at the University of Manchester (UK) next year. I am currently looking into LLM programmes in international law.
Any recommendations?
Apart from the London Unis (Kings, UCL, LSE) and Edinburgh my focus has been on the Graduate Institute in Geneva. Any other recommendations? Which one out of the ones I named would you choose and why?

All of the programs you mentioned are amazing! If I were you I would chose LSE because it is very flexible, you can chose any courses you want, while the Graduate Institute there are several mandatory courses. There are many courses so you could chose from any area of International Law.
Besides, LSE is very prestigious worldwide, while the Graduate Institue is only known among diplomats and people in that area, since it is very specialized.
Let us know what your final decision is! :)

Thanks heaps!
Maybe I should have explained a bit more.
I see myself in the future working as a diplomat (ideally in the German Foreign Service) or for the United Nations. I have lived and studied abroad in a few countries.
What I like about the Graduate Institute is that it is partially taught in French and if I want to be working as a diplomat, French is crucial. I know LSE is only 1 year, but Geneva would allow me to study abroad for a semester and has all the international organisations next door.
Also, I think most unis in the UK only offer the general LLM or other LLMs but not a specific LLM in international law, so Im not sure whether this is actually good for me.
Apart from the Unis I mentioned, would you recommend any other universities? I'm looking mostly into European ones due to money constraints.

For what you say, you're right that Geneva would be better! The program is 2 years so you could learn more. Besides, the program there includes several courses from the other areas (International Relations, Economics...) and these are very important if you plan to work as a diplomat. The Graduate Institute is a great place to study and has a lot of exchange programs that you apply to, for instance Harvard Law School.
You might also like to consider Paris 1 or Paris 2. The programs there are very good, and there is a Master 2 in International Law, track International Administration, which is intended to prepare international public functionaries, like to work for international organizations or government mostly as a diplomat.
I am from Colombia and I want to work in international law and international relations, so I am considering doing in Paris (1 or 2, I don't know yet which university) the Master 1 in International Law and then the Master 2 International Administration, so it would be two years like the Graduate Institute.
Look up those programs and let me know what you think about them!
Best regards,
Andrés.

You should check the programs of the University of Amsteram which are also very good.
Sorry for the late reply.
