Hi MK. Even I am a graduate from ILS Law College, 2013 batch and have applied to this course a month back, but haven't received any reply. Could you please tell me in how many days did you get the outcome of your application. ?

Once all the documentation was completed,I received the reply within a weeks time ..you can mail them regarding the status update, they promptly revert.

ok Thanks . So are you finally taking up this course or looking for some more Finance Programs ? Also, what's your take on Job opportunities in Germany or EU for that matter, after completion of this course. ?
Posted Mar 27, 2017 08:49
Ya I am taking up this course....well I won't be the right person to comment on the job opportunities...However i think since they do provide internships, the scenario does not seem to be all dark(compared to US)...where all have u applied?

I have applied mostly in International Tax programs at Leiden, Maastricht, Vienna and Auckland. Other than these, I am still waiting for Leiden's finance program approval.

Great! so what is your top most preference? And any insights about the job opportunities/employability of these courses.
Posted Mar 27, 2017 10:49
Well my top most preference is Law and Finance at ILF, since they provide 2 months Internship and also Germany gives 18 months Visa extension after the course. So I feel it should be a sufficient time to look out for a job unlike in other countries.
Second preference would be International Tax at Maastricht, as they have a PBL (Problem based Learning) system and it has also been recommended to me by my friend, who is the Alumnus of that university and now working in one of the big 4s in Netherlands itself.
Overall, the job structure in the EU looks weak for International students, but if you are a passout from ILF, Leiden or Maastricht, your chances of securing a job increases.
