Hey guys,
Has any former students of the ILF got any tips/advice when it comes to selecting courses? Which ones are best to opt for?
Also which are marked through essays/journals rather than examination?
Many thanks in advance.

hey, good question. I'd be interested in that, too. I am also slightly worried if students on the course who have been admitted already couple of weeks/months earlier were already given the chance to submit their choices for the modules. As some modules have limited class sizes those might already be full. Thanks as well for any insight.

I can only tell from a businessman point of view that your job opportunities will most likely be great especially in the field of M&A, insurance, regulation, tax and related fields of banking and law.

Thanks Enisl, but do corporates / law firms in germany consider LLM for job opportunitiers for the graduates whose first degree in law is from foreign country / country outside germany

again, without being a lawyer, I am pretty sure that you would have an excellent position with banks, consultancies, central banks etc. but on the other hand you would probably have difficulties with law firms since in Germany laywers have to pass the federal examinations. Your performance in these (two) examinations is probably the most important part in order to get into (good) law firms. But definitely it would be best if a lawyer would give his/her opinion on this issue

I think banks, and some financial institutions and international law firms consider international applicants with an LLM from ILF.
The internship program seems to be a good chance to make an impression on a future employer: http://www.ilf-frankfurt.de/Admissions.160.0.html
I remember that some LLM-Guide user got jobs in German or European banks.
Check the board search and the profiles in the alumni groups:
