Hi Guys, I have applied these two programs and have been struggling to find out which one is better for the past few months. I know there is no definitive answer but would love to have your inputs. Thanks.

From my point of view, after going through the Course Schedule of this year at Stockholm and the Courses at MIDS, I feel that ICAL program at Stockholm is more practical oriented and has a more hands-on, "what you learn is what you practise" approach, whereas, I feel that MIDS is more academic based and theoretical in nature.

Most of the faculty at Stockholm are practitioners and people with real experience including the course director, Patricia Shaughnessy, who is a Vice Chairperson at Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, whereas MIDS, from what I gather after looking at their Facebook posts and going through the list of faculty members, it has people with very high reputation in very reputed institutions, but, I feel it lacks people with real-time experience or who are not directly involved with realtime practice.

As for the fee issue is concerned, if you can afford the fee even if you dont get a scholarship, then you can go with MIDS. Stockholm, I feel has very less fee.

I have talked with a few current and passed out students of MIDS and Stockholm, I heard from them that, MIDS has a very good curriculum with excellent staff and all that, but, one of the guys said that, they donot provide any career counselling or support, but remember, this is from just one guy and was quickly debunked by the remaining students as false.

What I conclude is that, MIDS and Stockholm are two different institutes, MIDS focuses on International Dispute Resolution in general and it gives you more scope and many choices when searching for jobs, whereas, Stockholm ICAL focuses only on Commercial Arbitration and it narrows down your scope to find work after graduation.

Both of them have their strong points and weak points, choose among them depending upon the type of career options you are good with and looking at.

Depends on how high you are on the reserve list. They gave out 44 offers this year and the class size is normally 30+. I would say top 10 on the list will have a realistic chance? But again just my guess.

For ICAL? Yes, results were out on 24 March. I am not sure how many were put on the reserve list, but each candidate was given a number. So the higher you are on the list, the bigger is chance to get through?
