Yeah! Or maybe people apply later in the year? I already sent off my application to the MTJ. To which program did you apply?

Hi everyone. I am glad to be here and I hope you are all doing well.
I am trying to apply for LLM in IHL &HR (with scholarship). I can't find a section where I can upload my OTHER certificates...such as Certificates of Service, Internship, etc.. Can someone please guide me through?
Secondly, what is the expected number of words in the Motivational and Future Goals section? I thank you in advance for your guidance.

IHL. Do you apply with scholarship or without scholarship? Due to past year's experience, Geneva Academy always give offer after Jan. Very different from other universities in US or UK.....We have to be patient.
BTW, did you apply for any other university? I also apply for Leiden

Thank you for the response.
You mean I should attach my OTHER Certificates to the CV as a single file?

Can someone tell me how you are planning to work on the motivation letter? And how many words should it be? How is it going to be different from the SOP?

Hi,
Has anyone submitted yet? For our seniors who are already or have been at the Academy, is proof of academic publication of any added advantage in the application process/selection? Thank you.
Happy New Year.

Hi, could anyone please tell me whether the three categories of applications are evaluated separately or jointly? Will applying under the full scholarship application option reduce my chances or increase the competition as compared to no funding or partial funding?
Also, what is the amount of scholarship offered under the partial scholarship option?

Hi everyone,
I'm applying on the scholarship track and would like to ask those of you who have already applied what documents you uploaded on the family financial information section. I wrote the Academy and they said that if I was fully independent, I was not required to upload my family's bank statements and should upload proof that I was indeed independent. When I asked what was customary in that case I was not given a specific response, only saying I should upload my own bank statements.
Do any of you have any suggestion on this matter?
Thanks in advance!

Hm I'm partially dependent, so I uploaded a letter from my employer and the receipts they give me monthly. For my family, I included tax statement and also the receipts.
Hope it helps!

Hi
I am fully independent. I uploaded my Bank Statement to that effect and wrote an explanation about my family’s financial status, which reason included my independence from the family and being least affected by its finances.
I hope this can give you some idea though I am not very sure as to whether it’s right. It’s simply what I did.
Good luck.

Hey, I don't have any specific question so far but since my first master I've been always reading this site and I think it is nice to give each other moral support while we wait for the admission office. I applied in November without scholarship track. I only applied to Geneva Academy (the LLM). I already obtained the Advanced LLM in PIL from Leiden University. I'll keep you all posted if I hear something from the Academy. Please let me know as well as soon as we start getting the first letters.
Good luck!

Hi, I will try to answer according to what I read in the web page. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.
I know for sure that scholarship/non scholarship tracks are evaluated separately, hence the difference in deadlines. I am not sure about the partial scholarship track. This means that, if you apply to the scholarship and you don't get it, they won't offer you admission without scholarship. In that same sense, if you apply without scholarship and you are the best profile of all applicants, they won't admit you with an scholarship - because you did not apply for one.
Regarding your second question, naturally, applying to the scholarship will make it harder. It is simple, there are more people applying for fewer spots. I don't know the numbers at the moment but as an example let's say that the program accepts 40 students in total from which 10 are awarded scholarships, if you apply in the scholarship track you are applying for those 10 spots whereas if you apply without scholarship you are applying for one of 30 spots (with the chance that the Academy might increase the spot of without scholarship admission since they cover their own tuition and other expenses)
Lastly, the other reality is that this program is very prestigous but at the same time very expensive. This means that many people that know about it may not be in a position to study without an scholarship in Geneva, which in turn has an impact in the amount of people that may be applying for the fewer amount of spots in the scholarship track.
I think the system as it is makes it a little bit more fair because pushes the people that can pay it to apply without scholarship if they really want to do the program because they will have more chances. Other universities will consider you for both, scholarship and without scholarship and chances are that someone who can actually pay the program will also be the person with a better CV because their socioeconomic situation has allowed them to do more.
Oh, with regard to the amount of the partial scholarship, I think they only cover your tuition when it is partial scholarship. Meaning you still have to cover your own accomodation and other expenses which are otherwise covered in the full scholarship scheme.
