Congratulation guys.!! It seems that there are only 30 (of 330 third country candidates) get a place. Basically, only 12 candidates will receive scholarships of this year. Very very lucky.

For me, I am looking for other funding on this programme. At least try to save some accommodation and living costs.

To everyone accepted without scholarship. I'm doing EMLE this year (also without scholarship) and it is totally worth it. It's not an easy task to raise the money, but it's a good investment, and compared to a US based LLM, its dirt cheap, and you get to live in 3 different european cities.

it 's true, it's not easy to look for granting esp. in this recession.

After doing math, at least 170,000 euro we should have. (8,500 euro for tuition fees, and plus in double for living expenses.( 350-450 euro for accommodation + 300-400 for living costs.) approximately per moth ..at least 800 euro.. huh huh ! !

Hi all. Congrats for those who got in.
I suppose all those who've heard are Third Country students? I'm catagorised as an EU, having been here for a while. Does anyone know when I should be expecting a reply?

Chen J.- How did you come across that stat; 30/330? I thought competition would be high but when you see the numbers it's something else.

Hi Cello

Sorry for my unclear information. Yes, for studying in Europe, this programme is one of the highest compettion programmes.

As you be hold as EU students (staying in eurpoean country more than one year, right?) at least 2 months after applying you will know the result I guese.

What I got 30:330 is ..."The Joint Selection Committee has received 330 eligible third country applications, while for third country students there are only 30 places available in the programme (12 of them receiving an Erasmus Mundus scholarship; 18 of them without an Erasmus Mundus scholarship." ...

330 means only 3rd country students who have a right qualification. Actually each year there are over 1,000 applicatns from only 3rd country applying to this programme. Last year there was 360 applicants eligible and only 36 were admitted, 28 of them received EM scholarships. These number is exclude the amount of EU students.
In fact, as I discussed with some alumni, there are about 60-90 students per year - both 3rd country and EU students. Those of them were seperated to each universities.

To giwros. for this year, I think it's impossible. If you are EU students, may be you should submit all document before the deadline- this 30 Mar. But if you are 3rd country student, and want to apply EM scholarship, the programme require you to apply before 15 Dec.

Hi,
I'm a EU student and I just applied for the admission.
Do you know how does it take to have an answer?
However, I hope that some of you already admitted can tell me which acedemic records have been sufficient. Is it true that also a three year's degree can be enough? Or, as I fear, they will privilege already p.hD students?
Thank you all!

Im from Jamaica, the home of Bob Marley and reggae music ...and world class athletes :-). Ive also been accepted as a third country national but without a scholarship. It will definitely be a challenge to raise the funds. Nevertheless, Im grateful to have been included in the 30 chosen from the eligible 330 applicants.

Our admission process took roughly 3 months - from application to admission. They did say that there were persons with 2 or more masters and they were ranked higher. So it seems than anyone without at least one master would be at a disadvantage. Then again, it depends of the quality of graduates that you go up against. Seems the 3rd country nationals were extremely well qualified.

Nice to hear from Jamaica! I hope you will get to participate in the programme.

I have a question though re: number of scholarships for. The email writes that there are only 12 scholarships available for 3rd country students, but the website states that there are 14 in one page and then 19 in another page. Does anyone have an explanation for the published discrepancies in the number of scholarships available for 3rd country students?

Chen- Thanks. That was really helpful. Are you also applying as well?

Also, I second armando5777 and would be very grateful if anyone could shed some light on what level of qualification does the general accepted applications of this programme have.

If there's any EU applicants having heard any news, please please share:)!

Hello, I'm from Brazil and have been admitted for the program without scholarship, but will be attending it for sure.
As to my profile, I got 104 in the TOEFL IBT, don't have a master degree yet, but had a broad professional experience as a lawyer so far. I also tried to demonstrate through my personnal statement the academic and professional history that led me to have a great insterest in studing law and economics at EMLE program. Hope it helps a bit and looking forward to meet you in Europe!

Hi!

I received an email a couple of weeks ago indicating that my terms are Rotterdam Bologna Bologna.

I have reviewed google and definitively is a lot cheaper to share accommodation and other expenses so, if anyone got the same or some of the three terms in one of those cities, I think it will be a good idea have some kind of contact with the aim of looking for accommodation together? Dont you think?

Kind regards
