I am a recruitment consultant specialized in the recruitment of lawyers. Our core business is law firm recruitment in the CEE. I am responsible for the Czech and Slovak markets. On both the Czech and Slovak markets there is an abundance of candidates on graduate and junior lawyer level. Doing an LL.M. in order to stand out and get some extra experience is definitely a good idea considering future career development.
There seem to be a large supply of different LL.M.s worldwide. I am wondering if there is some preference for students coming from the CEE (especially CZ and SK) when it comes to choosing a school? As a recruiter its difficult to get a clear view to quality, ranking and general perception among lawyers. I would be happy to receive any input to this subject from someone with a better insight than me. Also I would be happy to give an update in regards to different law firm options to any CEE students.
Best,
Christian
