Marrt may I ask if you have a law/non law background

He went back and now is a partner in a law firm . I'd really like some pointers on the personal statement if you have any . I've written it in a sort of essay format ........like how I got interested in law but studied business etc

Sorry about that didnt notice the U in your reply........I have a degree in business administration ....I'm also doing a masters in business law from an Indian School but I want so much to go to BLS

Hi!
I have also been admitted to the MLB. Not sure what to do, currently finishing up my first semester at a mid level school in the US, but would be willing to leave that behind and go to Hamburg if I was sufficiently convinced it's worth it. I think the program greatly benefits those who already have a professional degree (i.e. law) but what about those on the econ/business side? The degree obviously doesn't let you practice law, and, since my background is in econ, I have concerns about the value added. Comments?

Hi Bloomberg,
how do you know the degree doent let you practise law?
I have a civil law degree and my plan was to do an LLM in common law so that I could then practise after such a 1 year program instead o having to do 3 years of LLB.
concurrently does anyone know what is the shorter route ( name of a conversion course, etc) for someone like me?
thank you

Hi marko f,
I think that Bloomberg meant that if he is not a lawyer in his home country (he has an economic background) the program does not allow him to practice law afterwards.
In your case marko, I think that the shorter route would be to do an LL.M. (1 year program). I am currently doing one in the US and some of my classmates are taken the bar exam to stay here working. The problem is that the market is pretty bad in these moments to find a job here, not only for LLM students but also for JDs (american law students).
@ Bloomberg: Am I right? If not please correct me :P
Cheers
