Hello,
I am a French national about to finish a PhD in law (working on EC antitrust policy and the energy sector) from a good UK University, but without a first degree in law (first degree in economics and finance, with some experience in investment banking). I am looking for the fastest way to become a qualified lawyer, anywhere in Europe.
Uk requires two years of law school which is really not appealing....
I would be happy to practice in Brussels given my interests. Would that be enough to take a LLM? Is there some other ways like working as an in-house lawyer for a law firm or a firm in the industry and then qualify based on experience (in that case, do I stand a chance to be hired without the first law degree?)?
Do you have any advice on the best way to go about it?
Thank you, best regards,
Adrien
