Toronto vs Leiden

Hi

I've been accepted to do my LLM in Public International Law at the University of Torontoand the University of Leiden but I can't decide where to go (i'm from South Africa so i've never seen either of them.) Can anyone who has done either of these programs maybe advise? Which is the better course? Which will give me the best chance of getting into international organisations?

I think Leiden university is very good and has a lot of prestige. Besides, the Netherlands are a great country for learning PIL, so if I were you I would go there. However, UoT is very good too, so any you chose will be good!

As a former Toronto LLM, I have to say I love Toronto. I did legal theory and not PIL but a lot of the professors there were fantastic. As with any school, there are a few dud ones but that's what shopping week is for. The students there were also of a very high calibre. I liked the student discussions and they certainly helped me improved as a student.

Thanks guys, it sounds like both are really good universities.
After a lot of thinking I have decided to go with Leiden as I'm quite keen to get some exposure to the ICC, but Toronto looks like such a cool city I really hope I get a chance to visit it in the future
