Hello Everybody,
I have a Colombian law degree (Civil Law System). Currently, I live in Canada. I reviewed all the requirements for practicing law in the country. The Steps are according to the NCA:
1. apply for an assessment of your credentials.
2. Obtaining certification, which can be done by:
a. successful completion of NCA examinations; by registering as a special student in a Canadian common law degree program and
b. successfully completing the assigned subjects as part of your program of studies;
a combination of (a) and (b).
I would like to do it by completing the NCA exams. I was wondering how long/much would it take in real terms of time/money to get my license here?
Thanks in advance!

Hi there,
If I rmb correctly, you'd need to do LSAT or similar that sort of thing before really practicing in the legal sector.
and if your a local candian, once you've finished studying law school, you'll automatically be admitted as a lawyer if any of the law firm hires you.
the entire process is vary. it all depends on your luck and your marks at the end of the day.
go to the canadian law society website:

hope it helps. xx
