I wanted to know if an Israeli lawyer can take the New York bar exam even without studying an LL.M program.
I understad that as long as I come from a common law system and have three years of qualifying law school study, I can take the bar without an LL.M - is that correct?

In response to your question, " yah you can sit for the bar without taking LLM in USA" Before 2011, all foriegn trained lawyers were to have the LLM " as the 24 credits in a USA before sitting for the NY Bar. Now the law was changed to allow foriegn trained lawyers from common law countries " though qualified as usual"
