Hi all, my first post on here. My husband and I are relocating to Western Australia from Ireland at the end of the month to work. I hold a 4yr Irish law degree, the UK LPC and also completed an LLM in the UK. Unfortunately, my husband was made unemployed around the same time as I completed all that lot, and so between keeping all my accumulated educational loans paid and just generally keeping us afloat I couldn't afford to take the paycut necessary to actually complete my traineeship. As a result, even though I have the LPC I'm not a qualified solicitor.

With my husbands new position in WA, we will no longer be reliant on my income, so I'm now back to looking at ways to get qualified. I'm aware that I'll have to get my Law degree assessed and will in all likelihood have to sit a few modules to bring it in line with Australian law degrees. From what I have read, it seems that WA is one of the more difficult states to get qualified in, is that the case? It wouldn't bother me if I had to move to another state for a while in order to get qualified - does anyone know if having the LPC completed holds any weight in any one state above others?
